SISTUHS: Can We Talk?~ Can You Pray In the Good Times and The Bad? At Your Weakest Hour, How is Your Prayer Life?

  1. SISTUHS! I can truly admit that my prayer life has matured within the last year even. I have had the privilege of receiving some very sound teaching. Which I probably have been getting for years, but just did not tap into it like I have at this point in my life. If we are honest with ourselves, we can say that it is easier to pray and relax when things are going good. We have a job, bills are able to be paid, essential needs are met. But when the tables turn and life happens. When you have no idea how your bills are going to be paid or just what is going to happen. Can you pray just as earnestly, when these situations reak havoc on your mind, and occupy your space on a constant basis. What do you do? When you're not in this situation its easy to listen to the preacher, or hear that song on the radio that will tell you to hold on. But can you really hold on? I have been tested, I have worried and I admit I was in error. But I can truly say, from the least financial obligation to the greatest, God worked it out as only he can! As I type, I have a situation right now. But the word that came forth from my Bishop today let me know that according to my faith, its as good as done. I know that my prayer life has increased, as well as my faith. God has proven himself to me. I stand on Isaiah 41:10 where God tells me not to be dismayed because he will uphold me with His mighty right hand. I have no other source but Him. I have learned to pray in and out of season, because I believe that with a constant and sincere prayer life, the adverse situations are buffered and through Christ I can withstand them all. I praise God for the word of instruction and knowledge found in His word. If we read constantly,we'll be alright. I have been weak, and I have learned to pray and talked to God and listen for His words to me. I pray to Him to speak to me and let me know that it is Him. And He answers my prayers. After all, He knows what we have need of even before we ask. What a wise and mighty God we serve. I encourage you my, sistuhs, to pray when you're up, pray when you're down. Establish a consistent prayer life. He will come to your rescue. I'm a witness that He will!!!

    Peace and Blessings,
    GodsChick
